The report is devoted to investigation of current standing of market of liquid glass in CIS countries and forecast of its development. The report consists of 8 Sections, contains 101 pages, including 22 Figures, 43 Tables and Appendix. This work is desk study. As information sources, we used data of Rosstat, Inter-State Committee on Statistics of CIS countries, Federal Customs Service of Russia, official domestic railage statistic of JSC RZhD (former Ministry of Railway Transport of Russia), sectoral (industrial) and regional press, annual and quarterly reports of companies, as well as data from web-sites of company-producers of liquid glass and solid soluble silicates of sodium and potassium.
The first Section of the report presents information on available technologies of production of liquid glass, their features, resources, required for the production, and their quality. Besides, the Section presents data on the main suppliers of the resources (quartz sands and soda ash), flows and volumes of the supplies. The second Section of the report is devoted to production of liquid glass in CIS countries. The Section presents requirements, imposed on quality of solid sodium silicate and liquid glass, produced on its base.
As currently only solid soluble silicates of sodium and potassium are liable to obligatory statistical account, whereas no official statistics on production of liquid glass is available, the report covers only production of solid soluble silicates of sodium and potassium and liquid glass, obtained from these raw materials. The Section of the report presents statistical data on volumes of production of solid soluble silicates of sodium and potassium in CIS countries, describes current standing of the greatest producers of the products.
The third Section of the report presents data on foreign trade in solid soluble silicates of sodium and potassium in Russia and Ukraine for 1999-1 half of 2006.
The fourth Section of the report presents information on prices on solid soluble silicates of sodium and potassium at domestic Russian market in 2004-2006, as well as analysis of data on dynamics of export-import prices on the product for the latest 7 years. The fifth Section of the report analyses consumption of solid soluble silicates of sodium and potassium in Russia. The Section presents supply-demand balance of the products, sectoral and regional structure of consumption, describes current standing of the main end-uses of solid soluble silicates of sodium and potassium and current standing and prospects of development of the greatest enterprise-consumers. The sixth Section of the report presents forecast of development of Russian market of solid soluble silicates of sodium and potassium up to 2010.
